The Lucky Draw Silver Rodimus Convoy toy was drawn along side the Gold Standard Convoy figure. This was only the second time that a Lucky Draw Transformers toy was produced in two variations for a character that was not the leader of either the Cybertrons or Destrons. The other was the Clear and Black versions of Sixshot.

The Silver Rodimus Convoy figure was the first all chrome silver Lucky Draw Transformer which was produced. Previous silver chromed Lucky Draw Transformers include G1 Chromedome (entirely chromed but mounted as a statue), Silver Beast Wars Metal Megatron (partially chromed), Silver Beast Wars Metal Convoy (partially chromed), the double-pack of Metals Convoy and Megatron which includes the Silver Megatron toy (again partially chromed) and Silver Beast Wars II Galvatron (again partially chromed).
