As with most Lucky Draw Transformers the exact number of gold Galaxy Convoy's is unknown. What is known is that the toy was featured in two magazine prize campaigns, one just for Gold Galaxy Convoy and Silver Galaxy Convoy as well as later featuring in the TV Magazine colouring-in competition, which was another one of the toys given away.

Galaxy Convoy is the largest Lucky Draw toy to be offered in two colours, at the same time, gold and silver.

The toy has appeared on auctions sites several times after it's release.
