I'm game for that!

here's a brief breakdown...

Um... It's proper Grindhouse - looks like it had a budget of about £200...

It's not better than Rise Of Cobra, but better than Phantom Menace, and both the Transformers films.

Due to copywright issues, it's not a GI Joe film... and none of the names are ever used, but it's clearly;

Duke
SnakeEyes
Beachhead
Scarlett (although she's only in it to give Duke his marching orders at the start)

Verses

Cobra Commander (he's refered to as the Asp Commander...)
Baroness
Firefly
StormShadow.

You can also clearly see that the film hasn't been classified by the film censors... and they're quite happy with it not having any sort of rating...

It's set at the birth of Cobra, with Hawk (who you only ever hear over a phone) getting Scarlett to get Duke to form the Joe team. He picks up Beachhead and Snake, and then they get caught dealing with a freighter full of arms in th Dominican republic.

Things to look out for;

  • Duke looks like a gay Ken Doll... who speaks with Arnold Schwarzeneggers accent...
  • The Baroness torturing Duke for information, by injecting him with a drug that makes him tell the truth when he is 'aroused'... then taking off her top and getting slave girls to rub her boobies...
  • Duke telling a 16 year old Dominican girl that he wants to kiss her and that he's a pervert because of the truth serum...
  • Duke sleeping with said 16 year old dominican girl (She has braces...)
  • Snake Eyes showing a photo of his son (Eh?) to a Dominican girl who helps him, and then confessing to her he really can talk... (I know..)
  • Snake Eyes perving through a window at said girl while she takes her top off.
  • Stormshadows Ninja bikini-top removal skills...
  • Duke and Beachhead on a moped.

Duke and Beachhead on a moped.

Out of all of the above, this disturbs me the most...

Had a bit of a DVD splurge:

DBZ season 6 & 7 - finally added them to the collection, only a few more to go now.

The Condemned - awesome for £3

Land of the Lost - which is now one of my all time favourite comedies. it's not quite Spaceball, Anchorman or Tropic Thunder, but it is amazing.
